My expectations were high and Hertz Furniture delivered on my expectations in every respect. With Hertz they took me absolutely seriously. Where the smartest designers and architects in the world are only really able to work for one percent of the population. So this is the laundry area over here, um we have some interesting jimmy rigging of the electrical taking place as you can see it will follow along over to hear. Deck Plans for a Mobile Home : Completely Free - We're here to show you today how to build a mini ramp. And we're going to be building one that's 4 feet high and 12 feet wide. You want to have a good hammer to start out with. You can find all these tools at Home Depot or Lowes. An impact drill is going to be key, especially if you're drilling the ramps together. You're also going to want to have a jigsaw for cutting the transitions. Also, very important is to have your Skilsaw because you're going to cut a lot of 2x4s when you're building a mini ramp, so you definitely are going to need one of these. Also very key is a tape measure. You want to have a good assortment of drill bits. This is a level. You want to be on the level when you're building, so that's really important. What this is called is a chalk line. And the chalk line is used so that when you put your 2x4s in later in the building process you'll be able to see where they are under the plywood. It's good to have a pretty heavy duty pencil. I got this one from Team Pain. But you're going to be writing on wood, so a standard pencil isn't good. This is a carpenters pencil.

Next up, deck kits for mobile homes your actual wood supplies. So whether you're building a 12-foot-wide ramp or a 24-foot-wide ramp, you're generally going to use plywood and 2x4s for your most standard ramps. So it's really important that your 2x4 goes to the transition, and the distance between the two is 8 feet or 4 feet, depending on the sections that you're going to build. Drill a hole, the pencil's going to fit right in there. And so you started out at 3 and 1/2 inches, that's the height of the 2x4 that's going to be at the bottom. Mark it out, get your pencil in there, and then you just drag it along. It just pivots nice and perfect, yeah. You've got a perfect tranny. There you go. It's about to drop. To save yourself some money, just flip it on to the other side and then you would trace over it. So the next step in building a ramp, you're going to want to mark the transitions. The standard is usually every 8 inches, but since we're doing this as a temporary ramp, we're going to do it every foot. So you're going to start out with the bottom one. You want to make sure that these are level. When you go to put in, that this is flush with this. Anytime you're going to put in a 2x4 into plywood, you want at least two screws.

Be careful and lift up the railing because it will all come apart real easy if you are not careful. You have sleeves, rail sleeves that go on the top and the bottom and then it screws into the post sleeve and there are stainless steel screws that are used to put this together, get on there. Just be very careful all the time. Now it's very essential that you have your drill and your screws handy so you don't have to go and find them. Once you get a couple of screws in you are on your way. You have to make sure the height of the railings match up or it will look really crappy. See, that is not the right height. That's essentially it, just put your screws in and watch out for your gloves if you have any because they can really get wrapped up in here.

Adding deck to mobile home i have been building and selling this particular style bench for about 4 years now and you can build one too. You can build some to make money or simply build a couple for your own yard. It features a comfortable 15 degree back and 15 degree legs. In the link below you will find a full tutorial as well as a free set of plans. To build this bench you will need eight 8' 2x4s, about a pound of 2-1/2" outdoor screws, and some 2-1/2" outdoor pocket hole screws if you want to secure the slats from below. To start cut all of your pieces according to the cutting diagram. You can use any type of saw for this. A jigsaw, circular saw, hand saw, or in my case a miter saw. Before you begin assembly arrange all of your pieces so that the good side is down. Next use the pocket hole schedule to drill all of your pocket holes. This is how we will attach the seat and back slats to give a nice clean look. If you do not have a pocket hole jig you can simply attach the slats from above with regular outdoor screws. When putting your leg assemblies together you will form a parallelogram where the pieces intersect. It is important to put the two screws along the long diagonal of this parallelogram and not the short diagonal. This will do a better job at preventing movement. Use glue and two screws at each intersection.

To make assembly easier I designed this so that you can use a scrap piece of 2x4 to space the horizontal members apart. The back support is attached to both horizontal pieces of the leg assemblies. It intersects the top back corner and is flush with the bottom of the lower horizontal member. Again, attaching deck to mobile home use glue and two screws along the long diagonal of each intersecting parallelogram. You also need to make sure that the angle of both back supports is the same. To do so secure the second back support with just one screw. Place both assemblies together on the ground and make any adjustments needed. Then finish securing the second back support. Use the 40" board to connect both leg assemblies at the base of the back supports. If you used pocket holes make sure that you attach it with the pocket holes in the back. If not you can simply screw from the front of it into each of the back supports. Attach the back seat slat first using glue and screws. If you used pocket holes you will probably need an extension for your drill for this first seat slat only. If you did not use pocket holes you can simply screw from the top with two outdoor screws on each side. The spacing in between slats is 1/4". You can use a 1/4" drill bit or a standard wood pencil. I always space the first back slat slightly more than 1/4" above the seat slats. For this I use a regular Sharpee marker which is about 1/2". To me it just looks a little bit better. Again use glue and screws with regular 1/4" spacing for the rest of the back slats. So that's it. An easy bench design that is pretty strong and pretty comfortable. I hope you can make one or two and possibly make a few extra dollars by selling some.

Here's a top layer here, this is the riser, these are the plates, and they are all screwed in, and they're, they've got a nice deck coat on them, So they sort of adhere to each other at the backs, and then you can see there was another layer, with a carpet piece on it, and then there is a wood layer, a three two by four underneath. And that's all been filled out, with various methods to make it work. So there is actually like two and a half inches, or three inches of step everywhere. Two and a quarter inches of step. So, that's what we've got to cut off, it's all screwed, so that makes it really hard to pull it apart, so we won't be able to do that, we'll have to cut through, and then take it off all at once. That's probably the best way. Anyway, that's what we get, the kind of jobs we get. So, we've taken the top layer off of this thing, and we're starting to build in steps as we go. So, it works out to a nice twelve inch step, which is a two by four, and a ripped, two two by fours and a ripped two by six. This one is just temporary here, but I like to have just a little bit of a, not a very big gap, so ladies don't catch their heels, that step is not finished there but this is, and it's working out pretty nice.

So tomorrow, we'll take those off, and get it at least done down to there, I guess. I hope. The stringers are a little bit older, but they seem in good shape to me. We've put Thompson's on the stringers, filled up all those old nail holes with Thompson's, so they didn't soak water, and put the flashing over top, and then the spacer on top of that. To get it back up to the same height, because there was so many layers on it.Beaconsfield Inn. We've got the bottom step in, and it's nice and solid, we haven't done the landing yet, but we've got this, this major step in too. And this wood is very non-slippery.

I guess it would be slippery with ice, mobile home deck awnings but so would anything, yeah. Looks really good. And we'll finish that landing off on Monday, I guess. It's supposed to be a, the rain's supposed to be over on Monday for three days of niceness. So, here we are removing the landing. It's got two layers of heavy plywood on it, like this. I will show you lots of ideas that hopefully inspire you to completely transform your front garden. Welcome to the Garden Design show! It's my mission to demystify design to make it easier for you to create your dream garden. Properly planning your garden is as vital as properly planning your home. I am Rachel Mathews and I've been a professional, international garden designer for over twenty years. I am also a best selling author and I teach garden design online. And we'll also be visiting inspiring gardens around Europe and beyond and give you plenty of ideas for your garden. Now this week's episode has come about thanks to Roger. A few weeks back he asked me to focus on front yards and entrances, so that's what we're going to do today. Now I divide front gardens into two different types, there is the purely decorative ones, that frame the front house and there is the more functional front garden that needs to incorporate a drive and other practical considerations, like a garage and perhaps a bin storage area. When it comes to designing a front garden, I have some golden rules and my first one is and this applies particularly to gardens where you need to incorporate a drive.

First and foremost you must view it as a garden. So if you didn't have to incorporate the drive or any practical solution, what is it that you, deck ideas for mobile home how would you design that garden? Then once I've made it all pretty, I then go back and rework it to put in the practical solutions of the drive or bin area, etc. Doing this way around, enables you to create much more creative and interesting gardens for the front. So I'll now show you exactly what I mean with a selection of front gardens that I've done and also I've been a little bit cheeky and I've gone around filming some gardens that I've come across. So this probably about the most unexciting front garden that you ever wish to inherit. Just tarmac and and you know there is no place to put plants and actually you can't even tell which is the front door. Your eye is drawn towards the green one, but that isn't the front at all so this one was really confusing for visitors. So what we did, we got rid of that awful tarmac and put down quite of a nice block paver, but also separated the areas off with a trellis and you'll notice over to the right there is a big curve, a circle of gravel- now that's an additional car parking space, so we cut down on the cost of the build it wasn't all brick pavers, but also that's going to have plants in it. It's going to look quite pretty as well. And then if we look through the trellis area, then suddenly, because we've angled it, you can see exactly where the front door is. So there is no confusion. And then the planting overtime, especially the climbers have grown up, will help soften this area and make it much, much prettier.

Now this one is bit of a building site, on this conversion. Now they were putting a bit of a modern frontage to it. And it was quite a difference in levels by the time they were finished. What we done with the steps, in making them come all the way across, mobile home deck designs really helps link the front of the house with the rest of the garden and as you can see this is what their view was before we landscaped. So just a drive running down the side and then the view of the sea beyond. So then by putting this deck in same level as the house, and then the plants in the round border there, that just tied in the house with the garden. Again this gravel area was going to have lots of ground cover like Alchemilla Mollis thymes and things that could take the occasional drive over just to soften that landscaping. But your front garden doesn't have to be fancy. Now this is quite a typical one that's got a bit overgrown and the lawn has ended up being a bit of an odd shape every time. They've edged it. So this one is a very simple makeover. What we did was to incorporate a very simple shape that worked well with the house, and you'll notice it's almost the same shape as the trellis, the end of the garden there. So it all kind of tied in and you know nothing incredibly fancy. It's just neat and tidy, but having that one dominant shape really brings that to front garden together. And this is the view from the other end. As you can see it was pretty dismal with the weird shape of lawn. And they just pushing it out the other way with that curve, suddenly makes the area look so much bigger.

From cutting the rafter parts out to building a jig and assembling the rafters!”   A rafter is one side of the rafter assembly. The rafter assembly is made by using an O.S.B. gusset to attach two rafters together. The first rafter will be used as a template to aid in marking the remaining rafters. This ensures that they are as close to the same size as possible. The first step in building the roof rafters is to cut one rafter board to length with the ends angled properly and then to mark and cut the birds mouth and seat on the rafter. The ridge end of the rafter, and often the eve end, will need to be cut to the angle of the roof slope. The roof on this shed is a 4 in 12 slope which makes it a 18 and one half degree angle on the board ends. A rafter or speed square will have marks for both of  these angles.

Measure from the eve end of the rafter board to the long point that will be the ridge of the rafter and place a mark on the board, this is the overall length of the rafter. One story victorian modular homes use the square to make a square line on the board that goes from edge to edge of the board. Now take the square and put the pivot point, on the point where the line you made meets the edge of the board. Pivot the square until the 4 on the Common markings lines up with the edge of the board. Mark the board with this angle. You will also notice that the 18 and one half mark on the Protractor markings will be lined up with the edge of the board. Use a saw to cut along this line. Make sure to cut on the “waste” side of the line so the rafter size will be as accurate as possible. If you have a chop saw you can set the angle of your ridge cut on the saw and make the cuts without using the angle from the framing or speed square. The second step will be to mark and cut out the birds mouth and horizontal seat. The vertical cut is called the birdsmouth and the horizontal cut is called the seat.

Refer to your plans to find the dimensions for the roof angle you are cutting. Measure from the eve end of the rafter to the start of the vertical birdsmouth and place a mark. Then measure further down the board to mark the end of the horizontal seat mark. Use the square to place marks all the way across the board on the two points you just made. Pivot the square until the 4 on the Common marks lines up with the edge of the board. Mark the board with this angle. With the square still on the birdsmouth mark, measure up the line you just made and place a mark showing the depth of the birdsmouth according to your rafter plans. To mark the seat cut you will flip the square over and place the pivot point where the seat mark meets the edge of the board. Mark a line from that point to the birdsmouth depth line. Set your circular saw to its deepest cut setting and cut along the birdsmouth and seat lines. Make sure to cut on the waste side of the lines and cut only to where the lines intersect. To fully remove the piece of wood you will need to flip the rafter over and continue the cuts to their intersection point. The piece of wood should be easily removable at this point but there will still be a bit of wood in the corner that will need to be taken out. Use a wood chisel and hammer to remove the remaining wood.

Building Tips, Mobile Home Deck Roof Ideas - I'm going to explain HOW an attic-installed radiant barrier works. All of the heat from the sun is transferred to Earth in the form of radiant heat. This is heat transfer without actual contact with the heat source. When your roof absorbs radiant heat from the sun, it heats up. Eventually, your roof will start to re-radiate the heat in all directions. About half of the heat, or energy, will transfer into the attic. Radiant heat is the invisible part of the light spectrum; it's the part you feel, not the part you see. For example, if you stand near a fire on a cold night, you feel the radiant heat on your front side, but your backside may still be cold since it's not receiving any radiant heat. Radiant heat travels at the speed of light until it's either absorbed or reflected. Normally your attic insulation will absorb all of this energy and it too will start to heat up. Eventually this heat will make its way through the attic insulation and into the home. Traditional attic insulation will.

This means less heat will enter the home. If less heat enters the home, then you spend less money to get the heat out and your home will be more comfortable. It's really that simple.

So we were pretty confident we understood what we needed to build a house unique modular buildings transportable homes our challenge was finding a builder we could trust and a builder we'd be comfortable with and felt that would be reliable to us, once we met ralph we were both impressed with his technical skills dealing with computers and estimating the planning process the development of blueprints and then the way he responded to our various questions about how things would be handled what he would do, what he would ensure his sub contractors would do and all in all, we were very comfortable with ralph far above the other builders we talked to and that's the reason we decided that we'd like to work with ralph on this building project. i thought the process went pretty well once we go past the rain we stayed pretty much on schedule the construction crews came in when he said they would come in if i had a question i would text ralph and he would always text or call me right back in the past i had dealt with builders that i had questions and i would not get a call back for days! but ralph was always very prompt about calling back and answering all my questions so that i felt satisfied and we were in contact daily sometimes 2 and 3 times per day.

Basically i knew the type of house that i wanted to design and build but ralph helped us design it just exactly what i wanted they worked on the house plans and floor plans, unique green modular homes we made a few changes then we were all ready to go and pretty well stuck to it throughout the whole process i was very impressed with the technical side of the project of course i had a set of blueprints as well and i could work directly with ralph on the construction process most of it i pretty well understood from previous experience but there were many things that i didn't understand exactly how the construction process was gonna flow i didn't know exactly what was gonna be required next and ralph was always eager to explain what was gonna happen next and explain it to me so i felt more comfortable during the whole building and construction process and there were some times that we had to make some minor changes to the type of materials that we were gonna use and he explained to us the advantages of one material over another and helped us feel comfortable through the whole process of getting our house actually built the main thing that i like about our house.
