Cool Girls only, Modern Wooden Dressing Table Designs - Easy Updates with Nico de Swert Mantle Design basics An easy update for your home is to create a beautiful mantle decoration And you can basically do it in two different ways. You can go to a asymmetrical or symmetrical. The first one I'm going to show you is the asymmetrical version and it's always great to have one focal point in this case I have this beautiful rattan basket from pottery barn, which I'm going to hang asymmetrical above your mantle more towards the right side like that. To balance it out I'm going to use this large cylinder vase. I'm going to put that on the left side of the composition. Later we're going to fill this up with beautiful branches, and then any odd-numbered objects that you have around in your home or something that you want to buy new in this case we have a beautiful candlestick that we're going to put here. I'm not going to put a candle in here, you could put a candle in here, but I'm gonna use this beautiful moss sphere from pottery barn that I'm gonna put in here as a green object just like that.
Modern wooden dressing table with mirror And then we have these beautiful wooden mushrooms that I'm gonna put also in the composition right like that just very simple and then as I said I'm gonna fill up the vase with some natural branches. We have these beautiful curly willow branches that I'm gonna put in the vase, just very simple, just a bunch of them just like that and then we have also these faux flower branches from Pottery Barn, and these are forsythia, and it's going to bring some color to your of composition and pretty much what you want to do is pick up any color that you have in your house if you have pillows with some yellow accents you can put some yellow branches in here and if you have some pink you can put some pink in there, but in this case I have a lot of yellow around house so I'm going to put some yellow forsythia branches I think this is this is enough so I'm going to finish this off now with some lemon leaves that I have laying around still, and I'm just gonna put those at the bottom just add some fresh green color, to my arrangement.
In this case I have the lemon leaves but you can use any other branches that you have in your garden it doesn't really matter just you know to bring something from the outdoor inside and I think that's perfect. So that asymmetrical version of your mantle decoration, very simple and easy. the second way of decorating your mantle is a symmetrical composition and the same as we did before with the asymmetrical version we have one large focal point, in this case it's a beautiful piece of paper that I framed and the design trick for decorating a symmetrical mantle is to imagine yourself a triangle and we're gonna frame the outside of the triangle in this case with four candlesticks that I have two different sizes, one large one. we're gonna put those on the inside, modern dark wood dressing table and then we have the other ones that are gonna frame the outside of the triangle which are the smaller candlesticks. And then in this case I want to bring the yellow back into the mantle and therefore I have this beautiful faux wooden boxes with beautiful yellow daffodils These are faux but really beautiful, and then don't be afraid because what I always love to do is to add some real foliage to the faux flowers, just kind of trick your guests, you know. So we're gonna add those in there just very simple like that, See how different a mantle can look by taking two different approaches? Don't be afraid to experiment and make sure to have some fun.

Modern Wooden Dressing Table Designs: Cool Girls only
Bloom Coffee Table by Wood Design
Bloom Coffee Table by Wood Design - Alright, now what we're going to do is, we've touched up that little area with our paints, we've got the color background, the base color's in, and now I need to seal it. We're going to do that with an aerosol can because it carries well and you don't have the ability to spray in a home with all the equipment we have in the shops, so this is the next best thing. You just want to mist it on. We don't want a whole lot of finish on there. Just enough to protect it temporarily, for the time being. We're going to let that dry, and then we'll come back and we're going to add, build more to this finish. There's some other things we've got to do to get more depth in it, more color. For right now, we're about half way there, and you can see the divot's come a long way. We've gotten rid of the gouge, we've leveled it out, and now we've put some finish on there. And now we've got a sealer coat on and we're slowly working our way towards the finish. So, we'll let that dry and then we'll come back and do some more.

Insert the small bubble level into the level holding channel of the wall mount bracket and orient the bracket so that the line of holes are positioned above the level holding channel.
Position the wall mount bracket against the wall, and adjust the bracket side to side until one of the mini holes aligns with the stud marks. One or two studs may overlap with the bracket, depending on the length of the product Once aligned with studs, use the bubble level to make sure that the bracket is level on the wall, and then use a pen or pencil to mark the one or two holes that align with studs, the bracket itself next to the stud-aligned holes above, cambridge brown wood modern coffee table with hidden storage and the wall through the holes located at each end of the bracket, for the toggles. Set the bracket aside, install the toggles into the wall, at the toggle marks previously made using a screwdriver. Continue rotating until the large flange becomes even with the surface of the wall. Us the screwdriver or drill to install a stud-mounting screw directly into the wall, through the one or two bracket holes that align with studs, until tight. The wall-mounted bracket is now mounted to the wall. Lift the ledge or shelf against the wall, so that the mounting bracket attached to it is located above the wall-mounted bracket. Lower the ledge or shelf down so that the two brackets engage each other. Firmly tap the shelf or ledge along the wall, to tighten the bracket engagement. Your ledge or shelf is now ready to use.

You’re Modern! Contemporary Wooden Table Lamps
Contemporary Wooden Table Lamps You’re Modern! - Floor lamps do a lot for a room. They can increase overall light, add task lighting or just make a room beautiful. The type and style you buy depends on how you’re going to use it. A torchiere lamp floods the ceiling with light just like overhead lighting does. Place one in the living room, bedroom or any room you need ambient lighting. For activities like reading a book or writing a grocery list, look for a floor lamp like this. The downward shade provides the focused light you need. To cover more ground, try a multidirectional floor lamp. You can twist and turn the lights in all directions – it’s like three lamps in one. When deciding on style, look around the room at your existing decor and finishes for style cues. Do you have a neutral couch? A patterned lampshade is always fun, or try one in a bold color to breathe new life into an outdated lamp. Is your room a tad on the dark side? A linen or cotton lampshade lets more light through. Wider shades do too. Just make sure the lamp shade covers the light socket. And you also want to be sure the light bulb is at least 3 and a half inches from the shade on all sides. Once that’s done, plug in your new lamp and unplug with a good book.
We have the lamp basically assembled, the base and the shaft, and now we're going to drill a hole, for the lamp cord. So, we'll just drill about a half inch hole, right through the middle. Contemporary wooden table lamps It doesn't have to be centered, as long as it's inside this shaft, because the wire is going to go up the middle, so I'll just go ahead and drill that hole. There we go. Now, that hole goes all the way through this base and through the second base and through the cap, that's in the center of the shaft that we should, when we were putting it together. So, now we've got a nice channel for your wire. Another thing I did, is that I used this round file and filed a groove, right here, through this support piece. This is for your lamp cord to come out, after you wire this up, you're going to need a place for the wire to come out. What you can do, if you want, is file one of these, on all four corners, so that you can turn the lamp any way you want to. In this case, I'm only going to do one but you can do four, if you want. So, now we're ready, for a later stage, of wiring the lamp up.
Today we are going to make a lamp from some old fence board wood side table with built in lamps. This is an example, this is the body of the lamp without the lampshade and without the wires and all that stuff, this is just the basic shape of it. We make this out of old fence wood, and the tools we're going to need are: a drill with a wire brush (this is a soft wire brush made of copper, you can get it at your local home store); a half inch drill; a nail set; a sure form plane, (this is very handy for trimming and working on this rough wood); a regular hammer and some finish nail; and later on, some construction adhesive and probably some glue. Now we're going to take a look at some of this old fence wood, and we'll talk about how to make it work for you so it makes a lamp.

How's it going? Ann here wood desk chair bankers office chairs, and I am really excited because I'm going to New York City very, very soon. Actually in a few hours, I need to catch my plane. I haven't packed or anything (chuckles) yet. Can't believe I'm going to Fashion Week, but I haven't packed anything to wear. Anyways, today's video is a highly requested one, and a lot of you guys have been asking for this video, so I want to make sure that I'm gonna get it out to you guys before I leave to New York (laughs) City. I'm going to show you guys (bell rings) ^how I made-over my desk and also some really simple, but very, very pretty DIYs that you can do to give your desk a whole new look and also some little organizational ideas, so let's go ahead and get started. All right guys, so is my old desk, and I had this for about two years now, so I thought it would be fun to make it into an experimental project.
Therefore what I'm going to do is just paint the trim gold, tai wood executive office desk by uffix gold-bomb pretty much whatever (laughs) I can. I was also able to find some simple handles, and I couldn't find them in gold, so I gold-bombed them as well. (giggles) Here Eric is helping me apply on a marble vinyl, and I found this on Amazon. Basically what I'm doing is just sticking this vinyl onto the desk, so what you just have to do is clean it, and then you just basically stick it on like a sticker, just find something flat to push it down. And then, you're going to trim it around and have it fit your desk. So here is the little peek on the end result. It turned out so beautiful and realistic. For this next simple DIY.

Desk Designs Ideas for Wood DIY Plans, Paints
Ideas for DIY Wood Desk Designs, Plans, Paints - Hey guys, today I'm going to give you a little tour of my home office, which is really just a space in my bedroom that you can see behind me right there. Last year I did a desk tour video where I showed you my design work space both as work and at home, and a lot of you seemed to really enjoy it so I thought I would film this as a bit of an update now that I'm living in London in my new London flat. I've also included a super easy DIY for a little clipboard that I keep on the wall in front of my desk to remind myself of important things so they don't get lost in a notebook. So yeah, let's get into it and have a look at a DIY and a tour of my desk. So this is my work space, it's just in a little alcove in my bedroom and it's got a big window above it so I get lots of natural light which is really nice for working in. My desk itself is from Ikea it's just a tabletop with two legs and an Alex drawer set holding up the other side. My chair is also from Ikea, it's from a dining set, it's called the Ingolf chair I think and it's got a cushion on it to make it a bit more comfortable and this pillow here from Primark as a bit of back support and just cos I like the way it looks.
Let's start over in this corner here. In this little ceramic dish thing I keep things like memory cards and USB sticks, and my vlog camera when I'm not using it diy solid wood desk. And I keep my pens in this planter that I got from Tiger. I really liked how it was slimline and just sort of sits against the wall. Hanging above them is this clipboard that I DIY'd to keep notes on and I'm going to show you have to make that. For this DIY I used a sheet of black plasticy stuff, some copper adhesive, a ruler, a craft knife, a bulldog clip and a hot glue gun. First cut your sheet of plastic to size, this is what's gonna make your clipboard nice and sturdy. You don't have to use this material, I just found it in Paperchase and thought it would be perfect for this, but you could just use a normal piece of card if you wanted. Then cut a piece roughly the same size but a little bit bigger of the copper adhesive and stick that on top. Then I trimmed off the edges and you end up with what looks like a nice sturdy piece of copper. Measure out where you want your bulldog clip to go then just take your hot glue gun and cover the area. Put the bulldog clip on top of the glue and press it into place and leave it to dry.
Then I hung the clipboard on my wall using a clear hook, and stuck a piece of paper in it to remind me to register my bike. Diy wood standing desk I like having things there in front of me as a reminder instead of being tucked away in a book where I might forget to even look at it. This way I don't forget anything and also it just looks pretty cool, I've sort of got a copper theme going on on my desk as you'll see. My laptop is a 13" retina macbook that I talked about in my design toolkit video. So if you're interested in watching that I will leave a link to that down below. And I have this little plastic cable hook to stop my charging cord from disappearing off the edge of my desk. I love this little corner of my desk. I've got my clock hanging on the wall that was also a DIY, though I've taken the battery out because it was really loud so it's just a piece of wall art now. Then I have my succulent which is still alive by some miracle, inside a vase that was another one of my DIYs which again will be linked down below. And my copper C from Oliver Bonas.

How to Strip Paint off Furniture. To make a piece of furniture shine like it's brand new, start by stripping off all of the old paint to create a clean surface to refinish. You will need Rubber gloves Safety goggles Paint stripper Putty knife Medium-grade steel wool Toothbrush (optional) Paint remover (optional) and sandpaper (optional). Roundhill solid wood computer desk Only work with paint stripper in a well-ventilated area. Step Put on your gloves and goggles. Wear old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Step Apply a thick coat of paint stripper to a part of the surface of your furniture. Start your work on one side of the piece, and work in sections. Only use liquid paint stripper on horizontal surfaces. Use gels or pastes on vertical surfaces Step Wait the amount of time stated by the paint stripper's manufacturer. Then use a putty knife to test whether the paint is soft and able to be peeled off. Step Remove as much paint as you can using the putty knife by peeling the paint away from the furniture's surface. Teak, Cherry Portable Wooden Bar Designs and Plans
Portable Wooden Bar Designs and Plans; Teak, Cherry - Stop me if you've heard this one: A guy walks into a bar and he says... MicroJig. Maker of the GRR-RIPPER. Work safer. Work smarter. I'm gluing together two pairs of these ¾" thick boards. I want the seat to also be an inch and a half thick so I'm gluing together some wider boards. To square these up, I'm going to start by jointing one edge using this jig on my table saw. I want the legs to be square, so I'm going to set my rip fence to the width of this board. And rip these into 1 ½" wide strips. All of the legs are going to need to tilt in two directions, this way and this way, which means I need to make a compound miter cut on all the ends. And that just means I'm going to tilt my blade to 7° and I'm going to tilt my miter gauge to 7°. You could also do this on a compound miter saw. So that will let the leg lean in two directions. The next cut is going to be the critical one because that determines the length of the legs and I need them all to be exact. So what I think I'm going to do is gang these up, clamp them together, and try to cut them all at the same time.
These legs look like a perfect opportunity for me to screw up which sides I drill the holes in. So I'm going to set them up here and mark which sides the holes go on so I don't mess it up. commercial wood portable bars To make the holes I need to tilt my drill press table to that same 7° Each leg gets a hole that's 10" from the bottom on one side, and 9" from the bottom on the adjacent side. And the same goes for the top. The confusing part is to make sure this goes in the right way in my drill press so that the angle of the hole is parallel with the floor. I hope all that made sense! I've clamped on a stop block to my fence that's 10" from the drill bit so I should be able to make all of these the same. I've also set up a depth stop on the drill press so that the bit will stop halfway through each leg. With all 4 of those made, I can move my stop block over to the 9" mark. By the way, I sure am glad I have a drill press table! And I'll repeat the process and make all the 9" holes which will be slightly below the previous holes.
Now I need to re-position my stop block to this side to cut the upper holes. Cherry wood portable bar I can't just flip the boards around or the holes would be going the wrong directions. I think I'm going to clamp these boards down too so they don't slide when I try to drill the holes. I screwed this piece of plywood to my workbench so I can set the bottoms of the legs against it. I've cut these two pieces of plywood to that same 7° angle and I'll screw this one in. I want the bottom span of the legs to be 13" so I'll set this other angled piece to the 13" mark. Now I can cut the dowels to size by test-fitting them. I can tell that this one is too long. The way I'm approaching this is just a lot of trial and error. There's a good fit. It just takes time and you just got to be patient. But before I glue it together I want to round over the edges of the legs on my router. Another thing I did was label all these dowels so it will be a lot easier to set this back up. I'm putting a much smaller roundover on the three inside edges. I'm going to drill one pocket hole in the top of each leg to attach them to the seat. Now it's just a matter of gluing all these dowels in. It's a good thing I marked them. It makes this a lot easier.

Personalized Wooden Wine Boxes, Crates & Containers
Personalized Wooden Wine Boxes, Crates & Containers - Behind Wine Crate Carpentry. Just like most people I have things I'm really passionate about and love. Like friends and family, cool cars and reading. But most of all Food, Wine, and making new things. That's why I'm here to tell you more about Wine Crate Carpentry. I'm a 28 year old guy living in New York City, with my beautiful girlfriend Melissa and dog Franklin, trying to break into the product development field while working in high end restaurants to pay the bills. And when we decided to move to a new place that's when it all happened. Our new kitchen had less cabinet space and that's when I said, "Hun, I'm gonna make us a spice rack!". So collecting these beautiful wine crates from work and other locations, I would pick them up, take them on the subway , get strange looks frompeople, and carry them all the way back home to break them down panel by panel. After gathering the supplies and using my product development and carpentry skills to create the first spice rack, people saw it and instantly fell in love with it. And each time I made another, the public response grew. That's when I knew I was onto something. People Love Wine, Love
Food, Love Unique Items to talk about, and that's exactly what I had created! custom wooden wine boxes wholesale A product where each item is one of a kind and people can consider it to be a work of art, functional home decor, a recycled product or all of the above. I believe all wines have personality and winemakers show those personalities through these beautiful rustic boxes they've designed to ship their high end products in. It's a shame and wasteful to throw these beautiful wine crates in the trash and I've found a way to preserve them in a way that shows how unique and beautiful they can be with a little time, skill and effort. Currently I make anything from little carved wine bottle magnets and Plaques for holding your keys, to Wine Shelves and Chef's spice racks that'll hang your wine glasses underneath the rack. They make beautiful additions to peoples homes, and even great wedding or holiday gifts for wine lovers and home chefs. We're looking to increase production and raise the funds on Kickstarter to afford a small work space to do the disassembly, organizing and construction of these Wine Crate Carpentry Products. Currently all production is done in a designated corner area of my New York City apartment and as you can imagine my girlfriend LOVES the sawdust. So having a rented workspace where we can work on multiple projects at time will drastically improve how quickly orders will be fulfilled.
Funding for more tools like clamps, sanders and saws to streamline the manufacturing and production of these products is also necessary. New equipment like a table saw and drying racks to use after staining and applying varnish will be extremely beneficial. And lastly donations will also go toward transportation for picking up large quantities of these wine crates from all around New York City. custom wooden wine boxes australia For example, getting a business zipcar account to use vans instead of carrying wine crates on the subway. Having a van to use part-time like this isn't only the most cost effective way to transport large amounts of wine boxes in a single trip, it'll also keep Wine Crate Carpentry from having the overhead of buying and maintaining a vehicle within New York. We're recycling items that people already think are cool, but they throw them away because they don't think they have a use or purpose for these wine crates... We need your help and donations to get this project off the ground and these beautifully repurposed Wine Crates into peoples homes. By making a donation at any level you can be a part of this truly unique project and feel good about bringing new life to a part of the wine industry that deserves to be redesigned, repurposed and enjoyed by many. Thanks again for the support, And I hope I'll be sending something soon.

MUST HAVE .! Antique Wooden Wine Boxes
MUST HAVE .! Antique Wooden Wine Boxes - So what's up fellow beach bums, I appreciate you guys stopping by because, I got a great one for this week. It's something i'm really excited about building because i plan on getting a lot of use out of it. Especially with this warm weather coming and it's already hot as crap here. I don't know about your neck of the woods but yeah, I'm country now, I don't know about your neck of the woods but it's dadgum hot down here in south Florida! Shootz! but uh... Stay tuned and I'll show you what I end up building. That's right. So what is cooler than, get it, cooler... Than a box made of pallet wood that you put your cooler into and holds your beer. That is just awesome! So as far as supplies go for this project all I pretty much needed was pallets. I went ahead and broke down the pallets into individual planks. I have all the center sections broke down which are just the two by four sections. On these pallets they worked out good because they are just solid two by fours and are not the ones with the cut outs where the forks can go into. So that works out great because I'm really going to need those to build the frame of the cooler box.
Inside you are obviously going to need a cooler. I have a forty eight quart cooler which is just a simple basic cooler. I think it will make it easier for framing it out since it's just a basic square. vintage wood wine boxes So the first thing I need to do is get this cooler prepped. I need to take the handles and the rubber hinges off. So now I have the cooler ready to go and ready to be framed out. I'm not worried about attaching the cooler at this point. I just need to get the dimensions of the frame and then I worry about setting the cooler in and getting it attached later on. So I just finished up building the base or frame part and now I'm going to move on to adding the pallet boards to the top. I want to go ahead and do this before I put the cooler or anything in there because what's gonna happen is I'm going to attached these and then I'll trace an outline of the actual cooler and then take a jigsaw and just cut a hole so that i'll be able to raise and lower actual coolers top lip to determine how high I need it.
So once everything's done and I have a wooden frame built around here and everything, vintage wine crate toronto it'll fit nice and flush down onto the cooler. So once I get this attached and then I cut a hole. I'll be able to add spacers down here on the bottom that will allow the cooler to sit on. So I've just finished attaching the top and now I'm going to get the dimensions for the hole I'm going to cut. I'm just using the top because it's the same size on the outside as the actual cooler. So I'm going to trace an outline, take a jigsaw and actually cut the hole out so the bottom portion of the cooler, from the bottom, fit up to this top level nice and flush. All right, I've just finished putting the cooler in and I think it turned out really good. It fits nice and tight. It's really flush, just the way I wanted it. I haven't quite attached it yet because I'm I actually going to take it back out. I want to go ahead and work on the base and leaving the cooler in for right now and attaching it would be in the way. The easiest way to do this would be to take the pallet wood and just put it on outside like this and just go down. That would be the easiest way and you could just attach it with some hammer and nails or screw gun. I want to do something a little different. I want to take a piece of thin plywood and actually put it behind here. So it basically have a little canvas area right here and then do something with the pallet wood to do something kind of decorative. I think it will be cool and a little more challenging than just attaching it to the outside.
